A 5-minute homemade copycat of Kinder's Garlic & Herb seasoning — garlicky, herby, and bright with lemon, with a gentle kick of chili. Perfect on chicken, seafood, vegetables, pasta, and more.
Ingredients
3tablespoonsgranulated garlic
2tablespoonsfine sea salt
1tablespoondried lemon peel, dried lemon zest
1tablespoondried oregano
1tablespoondried basil
2teaspoonsonion powder
2teaspoonsdried parsley
1½teaspoonscrushed red pepper flakes
1teaspooncane sugar
½teaspooncoarsely ground black pepper, optional
Instructions
Add all ingredients to a small mixing bowl.
Lightly crush the red pepper flakes and lemon peel with the back of a spoon, or pulse the full mixture 2–3 times in a spice grinder for a finer, more uniform blend.
Whisk until evenly combined.
Transfer to an airtight spice jar. Label and date.
Use 1 tablespoon per pound of protein or 2 teaspoons per pound of vegetables.
