Description

A 5-minute homemade copycat of Kinder's Garlic & Herb seasoning — garlicky, herby, and bright with lemon, with a gentle kick of chili. Perfect on chicken, seafood, vegetables, pasta, and more.

Ingredients 

  • 3 tablespoons granulated garlic
  • 2 tablespoons fine sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon dried lemon peel, dried lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon dried basil
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley
  • teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon cane sugar
  • ½ teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper, optional

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a small mixing bowl.
  • Lightly crush the red pepper flakes and lemon peel with the back of a spoon, or pulse the full mixture 2–3 times in a spice grinder for a finer, more uniform blend.
  • Whisk until evenly combined.
  • Transfer to an airtight spice jar. Label and date.
  • Use 1 tablespoon per pound of protein or 2 teaspoons per pound of vegetables.

Notes

  • Buttery version: Add 1 tablespoon butter powder.
  • Low-sodium: Reduce salt to 1 teaspoon or omit.
