Description

These Cheddar’s-style glazed carrots are sweet, tender, and packed with flavor. Perfect as a side for weeknight dinners or holiday meals, they’re easy to make and taste just like the restaurant version.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound baby carrots
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, optional

Instructions

  • Peel and slice 1 pound baby carrots into 1/4-inch thick rounds or diagonals for even cooking.
  • In a medium saucepan, add carrots and just enough water to cover. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat to medium and simmer for 5–7 minutes until slightly tender.
  • Drain carrots and return to the pan. Add b3 tablespoons butter, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon black pepper and optional 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon. Stir gently over medium heat until butter melts and carrots are coated in a glossy glaze, about 3–5 minutes.
  • Transfer to a serving dish and enjoy immediately. The carrots should be tender but still slightly firm, with a sweet, sticky glaze.

Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Spoon
