The herb blend Carrabba's serves with their bread, with the spice-to-oil ratio the restaurant actually uses. Makes about ¼ cup of dry blend — enough for 12 servings — and stores for six months.
Ingredients
Herb Blend (makes ~¼ cup / 12 servings)
1tablespoondried oregano
1tablespoondried basil
1tablespoondried parsley
1tablespooncrushed red pepper flakes

1clovegarlic, grated (optional)
Instructions
Combine all herb blend ingredients in a small bowl. Stir until the color is uniform, crushing the rosemary between your fingers as you add it. Transfer to an airtight jar.
To serve, spoon 1 tablespoon of blend onto a shallow plate. Add grated fresh garlic if using.
Pour ¼ to ⅓ cup extra virgin olive oil over the blend. Swirl gently — do not stir hard.
Rest 10 to 15 minutes at room temperature so the dried herbs soften and release. Serve with warm, torn crusty bread.

Notes
The dry blend keeps six months in a sealed jar in a cool, dark cupboard. Shake before each use.
Do not store oil that contains fresh garlic. Serve same day.
For a milder version, halve the red pepper flakes.
Nutrition below is per serving: 1 tablespoon of blend plus ⅓ cup olive oil.
