Description

Flaky crescent dough rolled with cinnamon brown sugar, flattened into the signature paddle shape, and finished with a vanilla icing drizzle. This easy Buc-ee's Beaver Tail copycat is ready in about 30 minutes with no yeast and no thawing.

Ingredients 

  • 16 ounces refrigerated crescent dough sheets
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup packed light brown sugar
  • tbsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tbsp melted butter, for brushing
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp whole milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment.
  • Mix softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt into a paste.
  • Unroll each dough sheet to about 8 x 12 inches (pinch seams if perforated). Spread with filling. Roll into a log.
  • Cut each log in half. Flatten each piece into an 8-inch oval, ½ inch thick.
  • Brush with melted butter. Bake 13–16 minutes until golden and caramelized.
  • Cool 5 minutes. Whisk glaze ingredients and drizzle over warm pastries.
