Season 1 pound ground beef with s1 teaspoon kosher salt and ½ teaspoon black pepper. Shape into 4 patties.
Lightly spray or brush with 1 teaspoon olive oil.
Preheat the air fryer to 370°F.
Place patties in a single layer in the basket.
Cook for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until browned and cooked to 160°F internally.
In a skillet on the stovetop (or oven-safe dish in the air fryer), sauté 1 medium onion and 8 ounces mushrooms with 1 tablespoon olive oil until tender and caramelized.
Add 1 cup beef broth and a s1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce to the onions and mushrooms.
Simmer for a few minutes; thicken with cornstarch slurry if desired. (In a small cup, mix 1 teaspoon cornstarch, and 2 teaspoons water, to form the cornstarch slurry), season with Salt and black pepper.
Pour the onion and mushroom gravy over the air-fried chopped steaks.
Serve hot with mashed potatoes, rice, or veggies.
