Ingredients
8slicesthick-cut bacon
4largeeggs
8slicessandwich bread, sourdough or brioche recommended
1cupfresh lettuce leaves, washed and dried
2largetomatoes, sliced
1/4cupmayonnaise
2tablespoonsbutter, for toasting bread
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Transfer to paper towels to drain.
Cook eggs in the same pan to desired doneness (fried eggs with runny yolk recommended).
Toast bread slices in a skillet or toaster until golden brown.
Spread mayonnaise evenly on toasted bread slices.
Layer lettuce, tomato slices, bacon, and cooked egg on bread.
Top with remaining bread slices, press gently, slice, and serve immediately.
