Description
Make Arthur Treacher’s famous cocktail sauce at home with this easy recipe. Perfectly tangy and creamy, ideal for dipping fried seafood and shrimp.
Ingredients
1/4
cup
Mayonnaise
1/4
cup
Ketchup
2
tablespoons
Prepared horseradish
,
adjust to taste
1
tablespoon
Lemon juice
1
teaspoon
Worcestershire sauce
1/4
teaspoon
Hot sauce

optional
1/4
teaspoon
Salt
,
to taste
1/8
teaspoon
Black pepper

to taste
Instructions
In a bowl, mix together
1/4 cup Mayonnaise
and
1/4 cup Ketchup
until smooth and well blended.
Stir in
2 tablespoons Prepared horseradish
to give the sauce its signature spicy tang.
Add fresh
1 tablespoon Lemon juice
to lighten and brighten the sauce.
Mix in
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
for savory depth.
Add
1/4 teaspoon Hot sauce
if you want extra heat (optional).
Season with
1/4 teaspoon Salt
and
1/8 teaspoon Black pepper

Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let flavors meld.
