Description

Make this easy Applebee’s Almond Rice Pilaf copycat recipe at home! Fluffy rice, buttery almonds, and savory flavor—perfect side dish in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients 

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup Long grain white rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon salt, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon parsley, optional, chopped

Instructions

  • Set your Instant Pot to Sauté mode. Add2 tablespoons butter and melt. Stir in 1/4 cup sliced almonds and toast until golden brown, about 2–3 minutes.
  • Add 11/4 cup onion and cook until softened, about 2–3 minutes.
  • Stir in 1 cup Long grain white rice and toast for 1 minute.
  • Pour in 22 cups chicken broth and a 1 teaspoon salt. Scrape the bottom to release any browned bits.
  • Lock the lid and set the valve to sealing. Pressure cook on High for 4 minutes. Allow a 10-minute natural release, then quick release any remaining pressure.
  • Fluff the rice with a fork and garnish with 1 teaspoon parsley if desired.
