Description

Learn how to make Air Fryer Trader Joe's Cilantro Wontons—crispy, golden, and ready in under 10 minutes straight from frozen. The easy chicken-and-cilantro appetizer, no deep frying.

Ingredients

  • 12 Trader Joe's Chicken Cilantro Mini Wontons, about 12–14 frozen Trader Joe's Chicken Cilantro Mini Wontons
  • 1 teaspoon cooking oil or oil spray, optional, for extra crispiness
  • 2 teaspoons sweet chili sauce or soy sauce, for serving (optional)
  • Sesame seeds and sliced green onion, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 2–3 minutes.
  • Place the frozen wontons in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space so they aren't overlapping or touching.
  • (Optional) Lightly spray or brush the wontons with oil for a golden, crisp finish.
  • Air fry for 8–10 minutes, flipping or shaking the basket halfway through.
  • Cook until the wrappers are golden and crisp and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce, garnished with sesame seeds and green onion if desired.

Notes

For extra-crispy wontons, raise the temperature to 390°F and start checking at 7 minutes. Air fryers vary, so go by color and internal temperature. Reheat leftovers in the air fryer at 350°F for 3–4 minutes to restore the crunch.
