Air fryer tiramisu made with crisp homemade air-fried ladyfingers soaked in espresso and layered with whipped mascarpone cream. No raw eggs and no oven required — just an overnight chill in the refrigerator.
Ingredients
16ladyfingers, homemade air-fried, or store-bought savoiardi
1cupmascarpone cheese, room temperature
1cupheavy whipping cream, cold
1/3cupgranulated sugar
1tablespoonamaretto liqueur, optional
1teaspoonpure vanilla extract
1cupespresso, room temperature
1/4cupunsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting
Instructions
Air fry the ladyfingers at 320°F for 8–10 minutes, working in batches, until pale gold and firm. Cool completely on a wire rack. Skip if using store-bought.
Beat the cold heavy cream on medium-high until it thickens.
Add the sugar and vanilla; whip until stiff peaks form.
Add the mascarpone and amaretto. Mix on low 1–2 minutes, only until smooth. Do not overmix.
Dip 8 ladyfingers in the espresso, 1 second per side, and arrange in a single layer in an 8x8 dish.
Spread half the mascarpone mixture evenly over the ladyfingers.
Dip and layer the remaining 8 ladyfingers, then spread the remaining cream over the top. Optionally pipe peaks across the surface.
Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.
Dust with cocoa powder through a fine-mesh sieve just before serving. Wipe the knife between slices.
Room-temperature mascarpone and cold cream are both essential. Overmixing after the mascarpone goes in is the most common cause of a runny filling. Dust the cocoa immediately before serving, not before chilling.
