4chicken breasts, about 1 lb total, ¼–½ inch thick
1teaspoonolive oil, or olive oil spray
1teaspoonkosher salt
½teaspoonblack pepper
1teaspoonseasoning, of choice — garlic powder, paprika, or Italian seasoning (optional)
Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
Pat the chicken dry. Lightly coat both sides with olive oil, then season with salt, pepper, and optional seasonings.
Arrange the cutlets in a single layer in the basket without overlapping. Work in batches if needed.
Air fry for 8–10 minutes, flipping once at the halfway point. Start checking at 7 minutes.
Check the internal temperature — pull the chicken at 165°F (75°C) in the thickest part.
Rest 3–5 minutes, then slice against the grain and serve.
