Air Fryer Teriyaki Chicken Bowls

Ingredients
Chicken:
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Homemade Teriyaki Sauce: (Omit if using store-bought teriyaki sauce)
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 2 cloves garlic , minced
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Serving:
- 1 stalk green onions, sliced
- 2 teaspoons sesame seeds
Instructions
- Add the chicken, olive oil, salt, and pepper to a large bowl, and toss well to coat.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees f for 2-3 minutes; then place the chicken into the bottom of the basket in a single layer, and set the cooking time for 10-5 minutes.
- Remove the chicken when the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165 degrees F by using a meat thermometer and inserting it into the thickest part of the chicken.
- .Add your sauce ingredients to a small bowl, and mix well until blended. In a small saucepan, cook over medium-high heat until warmed through; it will start to thicken. Be careful to keep on stirring before removing it from the heat.
- Dice your chicken into bite-sized pieces, and toss with the sauce. Serve with sesame seeds or diced green onions.
