Description
Crispy, juicy air fryer shake and bake chicken with a golden seasoned crust — ready in about 25 minutes with almost no cleanup.
Ingredients
2
lbs
boneless, skinless chicken breast
,
cut into 1–2 inch pieces, or keep whole
3
tbsp
mayonnaise
,
binder
1
package
Shake 'n Bake coating mix
,
any flavor
Cooking spray
Instructions
Pat the chicken dry and cut into even 1–2 inch pieces.
Toss the chicken with the mayonnaise until lightly and evenly coated.
Add the chicken to the Shake 'n Bake mix and toss/shake until fully coated.
Spray the air fryer basket. Arrange the chicken in a single layer with space between pieces and mist the tops with cooking spray.
Air fry at 370°F for 7 minutes. Flip, re-spray, and cook another 5–8 minutes, until golden and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Rest 2–3 minutes and serve.

Notes
Work in batches rather than crowding the basket.
Bone-in pieces (thighs, drumsticks) need ~18–22 minutes total.
Swap mayonnaise for a beaten egg or cooking spray if preferred.
