Description

Crispy, juicy air fryer shake and bake chicken with a golden seasoned crust — ready in about 25 minutes with almost no cleanup.

Ingredients 

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into 1–2 inch pieces, or keep whole
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise, binder
  • 1 package Shake 'n Bake coating mix, any flavor
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  • Pat the chicken dry and cut into even 1–2 inch pieces.
  • Toss the chicken with the mayonnaise until lightly and evenly coated.
  • Add the chicken to the Shake 'n Bake mix and toss/shake until fully coated.
  • Spray the air fryer basket. Arrange the chicken in a single layer with space between pieces and mist the tops with cooking spray.
  • Air fry at 370°F for 7 minutes. Flip, re-spray, and cook another 5–8 minutes, until golden and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • Rest 2–3 minutes and serve.

Notes

  • Work in batches rather than crowding the basket.
  • Bone-in pieces (thighs, drumsticks) need ~18–22 minutes total.
  • Swap mayonnaise for a beaten egg or cooking spray if preferred.
