Description

Crispy flatbread topped with flaky salmon, a creamy garlic-herb spread, capers, and fresh dill — an easy air fryer dinner ready in 25 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 salmon fillet, about 6 oz / 170 g, skin removed
  • 1 tsp olive oil, for the salmon
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • 2 flatbreads, about 8 inches each, or naan
  • 4 oz cream cheese, garlic-and-herb cream cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil, for brushing
  • 2 tbsp thinly sliced red onion
  • 1 tbsp capers, drained
  • 2 cups fresh arugula
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 lemon, zest + wedges
  • Cracked black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Pat the salmon dry and rub with 1 tsp olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 7–9 minutes, until it flakes and reaches 145°F (63°C). Rest 2 minutes, then flake.
  • Brush the flatbreads with olive oil and spread each with garlic-herb cream cheese.
  • Top with flaked salmon, red onion, and capers. Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 4–5 minutes, until golden and crisp.
  • Finish with arugula, dill, and lemon zest. Add cracked pepper and serve with lemon wedges.

Equipment

  • Cooking Spray
  • Parchment Paper, optional

Notes

  • For crispier flatbread, cook the base 1–2 minutes before adding toppings.
  • Internal temperature is the most reliable doneness test for salmon.
