1/4teaspoonsalt
3/4cupsugar
1/2cupbuttermilk, at room temperature

1teaspoonwhite vinegar
For the Cream Cheese Frosting:
8ouncescream cheese, softened
1/4cupbutter, softened
2cupspowdered sugar, sifted
1teaspoonvanilla extract
Instructions
In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In another bowl, beat together the sugar, buttermilk, egg, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, red food coloring, and white vinegar until smooth.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined and without overmixing to ensure a tender cake.
Lightly grease a 7-inch round cake pan that fits in your air fryer basket. Pour the batter into the pan, spreading it evenly.
Preheat your air fryer at 320°F (160°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
Place the cake pan in the air fryer basket. Cook for 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few crumbs. The cooking time may vary depending on your air fryer model.
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
In a bowl, beat the cream cheese and butter until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, continue beating until the frosting is smooth and creamy.
Once the cake is completely cool, spread the cream cheese frosting over the top and sides of the cake evenly.
Note: The size of the pans will depend on the size of your air fryer, obviously smaller air fryers will be able to hold smaller pans than larger air fryers) For my Air Fryer, I was able to make two 8inch round pans with the batter.
