In a large bowl, combine the 1 cup pumpkin cake mix, ¼ cup pumpkin puree, 2 tablespoons melted butter, and 1 large egg. Stir until a smooth, sticky dough forms.
Stir in c½ teaspoon ground cinnamon, ⅛ teaspoon nutmeg, ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract and 2 tablespoons chocolate chips until evenly incorporated.
Preheat your air fryer to 350°F. Line the basket with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to drop portions of dough into the basket, leaving space between each cookie for even cooking. Flatten each slightly with the back of the spoon.
Cook at 350°F for 6–8 minutes, or until cookies are set and lightly golden around the edges. Cooking times may vary depending on your air fryer.
Remove cookies from the air fryer and let them cool on a wire rack. This allows them to firm up slightly before serving.
