Description

Enjoy this easy Air Fryer Peri Peri Chicken recipe, a Nando’s copycat that’s juicier, crispier, and bursting with flavor.

Ingredients 

  • 6 Chicken thighs, bone-in, skin-on (about 2 pounds / 900 g)
  • 1/3 cup Peri peri sauce, store-bought or homemade
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic cloves, freshly minced
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Salt, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Season the 6 Chicken thighs skin with 2 tablespoons Olive oil, 3 cloves Garlic cloves, 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika, 1 tablespoon Lemon juice, 1 teaspoon Salt and 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper on both sides. Pour the 1/3 cup Peri peri sauce into a large bowl or Ziploc bag, add the chicken, cover, and refrigerate for about an hour.
  • Remove the chicken from the peri peri marinade, discarding any leftover liquid. Arrange the chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Preheat your air fryer temperature to 375 degrees F and set the cook time for 18-22 minutes, flipping the chicken halfway, during the cooking process.
  • Plate the chicken and serve alongside extra peri peri sauce or your preferred dipping sauce.
