Description

These Air Fryer Lobster Cakes are crispy on the outside, tender and buttery inside, and ready in just 20 minutes. Made with cooked lobster meat, panko, and Cajun seasoning, they're an easy seafood appetizer or light meal — and a delicious way to use up leftover lobster.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup lobster meat, chopped, cooked
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup bread crumbs
  • ½ cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • Olive oil or cooking spray, for spritzing

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked lobster meat, egg, melted butter, bread crumbs, and Cajun seasoning. Mix until evenly combined.
  • Form the mixture into 6 even patties, then roll each cake in the panko bread crumbs to coat.
  • For best results, refrigerate the cakes for 10–15 minutes to help them firm up.
  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the cakes in a single layer and spritz the tops with oil. Air fry at 370°F (188°C) for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crisp.
  • Plate, garnish with lemon and parsley if desired, serve, and enjoy!

Equipment

Notes

  • Chilling tip: Don't skip the 10-minute chill — it keeps the cakes from falling apart.
  • Low-carb option: Replace the bread crumbs and panko with crushed pork rinds.
  • Storage: Refrigerate up to 3 days or freeze up to 2 months. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 3–4 minutes.
  • Internal temp: Lobster is precooked; heat the cakes through to 145°F (63°C).
