- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3-5 minutes.
- While the air fryer is preheating, cook the hot dogs by grilling, boiling, or pan-frying until fully cooked and slightly crispy on the outside. Let them cool for a few minutes.
- Lay out a flour tortilla and place a hot dog in the center. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the hot dog.
- Roll up the tortilla tightly around the hot dog and cheese, making sure the ends are sealed. If needed, secure the taquito with a toothpick. Repeat this process for the remaining hot dogs.
- Lightly coat the taquitos with cooking spray. This will help them become crispy in the air fryer.
- Place the taquitos in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not touching each other.
- Air fry for approximately 6-8 minutes, turning them halfway through the cooking time. Keep a close eye on them to prevent overcooking; you want the tortillas to be golden brown and crispy.
- Once done, remove the taquitos from the air fryer. Let them cool slightly before removing any toothpicks.
- Serve your hot dog taquitos with your favorite toppings like salsa, sour cream, guacamole, or diced onions.
- Enjoy your delicious and crispy Air Fryer Hot Dog Taquitos!
