Description

Sweet, crunchy Air Fryer Honey Roasted Almonds made with just a few simple ingredients in under 15 minutes. This easy homemade snack is perfect for munching, salads, or gifting, and it's a healthier swap for store-bought roasted nuts.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups raw almonds, whole almonds
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar, (plus extra for finishing, optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, or a pinch of cayenne pepper, optional

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, toss the almonds with honey, sugar, salt, and any optional spices until evenly coated.
  • Line the air fryer basket with a parchment liner and spread the almonds in a single layer.
  • Air fry at 320°F (160°C) for 8 to 10 minutes, shaking the basket every 2 to 3 minutes, until golden brown and fragrant. Watch closely near the end so the honey doesn't burn.
  • Transfer the almonds to a parchment-lined tray and spread them out. Sprinkle with extra sugar or flaky salt if using.
  • Let cool completely, 10 to 15 minutes, until the coating hardens and the almonds turn crunchy. Store in an airtight container.

Equipment

  • Cooking Spray
  • Parchment Paper, optional

Notes

  • Single layer = even roasting. Cook in batches rather than overcrowding.
  • They crisp as they cool, so don't over-roast based on texture in the basket.
  • Storage: Airtight at room temperature up to 2 weeks, refrigerated up to 1 month, or frozen up to 3 months.
  • Nut swaps: Works with cashews, pecans, or walnuts; reduce time for softer nuts.
