Crispy air fryer green beans and potatoes made in one basket. Staggering the cook time gives the potatoes golden edges and keeps the green beans tender-crisp — ready in about 25 minutes with no boiling
Ingredients
1½poundsbaby gold or red potatoes, cut into ¾-inch pieces
12ouncesfresh green beans, trimmed
2tablespoonsolive oil, divided
1teaspoongarlic powder, divided
1teaspoononion powder, divided
½teaspoonsmoked paprika, divided (optional)
¾teaspoonkosher salt, divided
¼teaspoonblack pepper, divided
Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3–5 minutes.
Cut the potatoes into even ¾-inch pieces and trim the green beans. Pat both completely dry.
In one bowl, toss the potatoes with 1½ tablespoons olive oil and about two-thirds of the seasonings. In a separate bowl, toss the green beans with the remaining oil and seasonings.
Add the potatoes to the basket in a single layer. Cook for 10 minutes, shaking at the 5-minute mark.
Add the green beans to the basket and shake to combine. Cook for another 10–12 minutes, shaking every 4 minutes, until the potatoes are fork-tender and golden and the green beans are blistered but still snappy.
