Description

These juicy Air Fryer Greek Chicken Burgers combine lean ground chicken, briny feta, garlic, and oregano, topped with cool tzatziki for a fast, flavorful Mediterranean dinner ready in about 20 minutes.

Ingredients 

For the Greek chicken burgers:

  • 1 pound ground chicken, or ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, optional
  • 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs, optional, for binding
  • 1 large egg, optional, for binding

For serving (optional):

  • 4 hamburger buns, or pita breads
  • 1/4 cup tzatziki sauce
  • 1 large cucumber, sliced
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • 1 small red onion, sliced
  • 1/4 cup spinach leaves, or lettuce leaves
  • Extra crumbled feta

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, gently combine the ground chicken, crumbled feta, minced garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, and the breadcrumbs and egg if using. Mix just until incorporated — do not overwork.
  • With damp or lightly oiled hands, divide the mixture into 4 equal patties of even thickness, pressing a shallow dimple into the center of each. Chill 15–20 minutes if the mixture is too soft to shape.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C). Lightly grease the basket and arrange the patties in a single layer without touching.
  • Air fry for 12 to 14 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Assemble each burger with tzatziki, tomato, red onion, cucumber, and greens. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Ground chicken is soft and sticky — wet or oil your hands, and add the optional breadcrumbs and egg to help the patties hold together.
