Description

Air Fryer Gingerbread Scones – Flaky, spiced, and perfectly golden scones made in minutes. Enjoy this festive holiday treat with a sweet molasses flavor, ideal for breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients 

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup cold butter, diced or grated
  • 1/3 cup molasses

Topping:

  • 1 large egg white, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon sparkling sugar

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl mix together the 2 cups all-purpose flour, 4 tablespoons brown sugar, 2 teaspoons baking powder, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon ground ginger, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
  • Mix in the 1/4 cup cold butter, diced or grated, and mix until the mixture is crumbly.
  • Mix in the 1/3 cup molasses, 1/3 cup milk and 1 large egg white, beaten.
  • Mix until the mixture comes together.
  • Use some olive oil spray and coat your scone pan.
  • Pat the batter into the wedges.
  • Brush the beaten egg white on top, and then sprinkle with some 1 tablespoon sparkling sugar.
  •  Set the scone pan, into the air fryer at 330 degrees F, (air fryer setting) for 12-16 minutes.
