Description
Crispy air fryer frozen okra, cooked straight from the freezer in 20 minutes with no thawing and no sliminess. A fast, low-calorie Southern side dish.
Ingredients

frozen cut okra

olive oil

teaspoon
kosher salt

teaspoon
black pepper

teaspoon
garlic powder

paprika

teaspoon
onion powder

Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (204°C) for 3 minutes.
Place the frozen okra in a bowl. Add the olive oil, salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings, and toss to coat. Do not thaw the okra first.
Spread the okra in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if your basket is smaller than 5 quarts.
Air fry for 15–20 minutes, shaking the basket or turning the okra with tongs at the halfway point.
The okra is done when it is golden brown with blistered edges. Add 3 minutes if it still looks pale.
Season with additional salt if needed and serve immediately.

Notes
Breaded frozen okra:
reduce to 10–12 minutes at 400°F and skip the seasoning.
Whole frozen pods:
increase to 20–24 minutes and halve any thick pods.
Leftovers keep 2–3 days refrigerated; reheat at 375°F for 3–4 minutes.
