Description

Juicy, herb-crusted frozen lamb chops cooked straight from the freezer in the air fryer — no thawing needed. Ready in about 15 minutes at 375°F.

Ingredients

  • 4 frozen lamb chops, loin or rib
  • 2 tablespoons high-heat oil, avocado, grapeseed, or light olive
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped (or ½ tsp dried)
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Place the frozen lamb chops in a single layer, not touching, and cook 2–3 minutes to melt the surface frost.
  • Brush the chops with oil, then season both sides with lemon zest, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
  • Return to the air fryer and cook 9–11 minutes for medium-rare (130–135°F), flipping halfway through.
  • Rest 3–5 minutes before serving. Internal temperature will climb a few degrees as they rest.

Equipment

Notes

  • Cook to a minimum internal temperature of 145°F (USDA) with a 3-minute rest; use an instant-read thermometer, not the clock.
  • Time-and-temp guide: medium-rare 130–135°F, medium 140°F, medium-well 150°F, well done 160°F. Add a few minutes for thicker shoulder chops or leg steaks.
  • Keep chops in a single layer with space between them so they crisp instead of steam.
