Description

Crispy-edged air fryer fried eggs with a runny yolk in 5 minutes — no flipping and no oil splatter. Includes exact times for sunny side up through fully set yolks.

Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • Olive oil or avocado oil cooking spray
  • teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 370°F for 3 minutes with your empty pans, molds, or ramekins inside.
  • Coat the hot pans generously with cooking spray, including the sides.
  • Crack each egg into a small bowl, then pour it into a pan — one egg per pan. Leave space between pans for airflow.
  • Air fry at 370°F for 5 minutes for a set white and runny yolk. For a jammy yolk, cook 6–7 minutes; for a firm yolk, 7–8 minutes.
  • Check that the white is opaque throughout with no clear areas. Add 1 minute if needed.
  • Release with a thin flexible spatula, season with salt and pepper, and serve immediately.

Equipment

  • Baking Dish, or Mini cake pans
  • Avocado Oil, Canola Oil or Coconut Oil

Notes

  • Wattage changes everything. Higher-wattage machines finish about a minute sooner — check early the first time and note what works.
  • Cold eggs need an extra 30–60 seconds.
  • For extra crispy edges, use a metal mini cake pan, melt ½ teaspoon of butter in it during preheat, and cook at 390°F for 1 minute less.
  • Season after cooking, not before, so the whites don't weep.
