Description

Easy 2-ingredient air fryer everything bagels made with Greek yogurt and self-rising flour. No yeast, no boiling, ready in 20 minutes. Weight Watchers friendly at approximately 3 points each, with 7g of protein per bagel.

Ingredients

For the bagels:

  • 1 cup self-rising flour, plus more for kneading
  • 1 cup non-fat plain Greek yogurt, thick variety like Fage or Chobani

For the egg wash:

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon water

For topping:

  • 2 tablespoons everything bagel seasoning, Trader Joe's Everything But the Bagel Seasoning Blend recommended

Instructions

  • Mix the dough. In a medium bowl, stir together 1 cup self-rising flour and 1 cup Greek yogurt with a fork until shaggy. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 1 minute until smooth and slightly tacky.
  • Shape the bagels. Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces. Roll each into a 6-inch rope, then bring the ends together and pinch firmly to form a ring.
  • First egg wash. Whisk the egg with 1 tablespoon water. Brush the tops and sides of each bagel generously.
  • Air fry — first round. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F. Place bagels in a single layer in a greased basket or perforated liner, leaving 1 inch between each. Air fry at 350°F for 5 minutes.
  • Second egg wash + seasoning. Brush the bagels with egg wash again, then sprinkle generously with everything bagel seasoning.
  • Finish air frying. Return to the air fryer at 350°F for an additional 5–7 minutes, until deep golden brown.
  • Cool before slicing. Transfer to a wire rack and cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing. Serve with cream cheese, butter, or your favorite topping

Notes

Recipe Notes:
  • No self-rising flour? Use 1 cup all-purpose flour + 1½ teaspoons baking powder + ½ teaspoon salt.
  • Yogurt matters. Only use thick Greek yogurt. Regular yogurt produces a wet, unworkable dough.
  • Weight Watchers points: Approximately 3 points per bagel on current WW plans — check the WW app with your specific brands for exact points.
  • Storage: Room temperature 2 days, fridge 5 days, freezer 3 months (slice before freezing).
  • Reheat: 2–3 minutes at 320°F in the air fryer restores the fresh-baked texture.
