A copycat McDonald's Egg McMuffin made in the air fryer: a tender round egg, Canadian bacon and melty American cheese on a buttery toasted English muffin. Skillet, oven and griddle methods in the notes.
Ingredients
2English muffins, split
2largeeggs
2slicesCanadian bacon
2slicesAmerican cheese
1tablespoonbutter, softened
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Cooking spray
Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 330°F (165°C) for 3 minutes.
Spray two ramekins with cooking spray. Crack an egg into each, pierce the yolk with a fork, and season with salt and pepper.
Air fry the eggs at 330°F (165°C) for 8 to 10 minutes, until the whites are opaque and the yolks are firm. Remove and set aside.
Increase the heat to 380°F (195°C). Butter the cut sides of the muffins and place them cut-side up in the basket with the Canadian bacon. Air fry 3 to 4 minutes, until golden.
Slide the eggs out of the ramekins. Layer bottom muffin, Canadian bacon, egg and cheese, then add the top.
Return to the air fryer at 300°F (150°C) for 1 minute to melt the cheese.
Wrap each sandwich in parchment for 1 to 2 minutes before serving.
two 3.5 to 4-inch oven-safe ramekins or silicone egg rings

Griddle: Cook eggs in rings on a medium-low griddle under a dome with a splash of water, 2 to 3 minutes.
Sausage swap: Use cooked sausage patties in place of the Canadian bacon.
Storage: Fridge up to 3 days; freezer up to 2 months. Reheat from frozen at 320°F (160°C) for 8 to 10 minutes.
