Crispy, golden baguette slices in 4 minutes — the easiest appetizer base there is. Three ingredients, no oven, and one garlic trick that makes all the difference.
Ingredients
1French baguette, sliced ½-inch thick on the diagonal
2tablespoonsolive oil
1garlic clove, halved (optional)
½teaspoonflaky sea salt
Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for 3 minutes.
Slice the baguette on a diagonal into ½-inch slices. Brush both sides of each slice lightly with olive oil.
Arrange the slices in the air fryer basket in a single layer, without overlapping. Work in batches if needed.
Air fry at 400°F for 3–4 minutes, until the edges are golden and the surface is crisp. Start checking at 3 minutes — they go from golden to burnt quickly.
Rub the cut side of the garlic clove across the top of each hot slice, then sprinkle with sea salt. Let cool 2 minutes before adding toppings.
