Description

Air Fryer Crack Chicken Crescent Bites are the ultimate easy party appetizer — flaky crescent rolls stuffed with creamy ranch chicken, crispy bacon, and sharp cheddar. Ready in 20 minutes, golden in the air fryer, and impossible to stop eating.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked, shredded chicken, (rotisserie works great)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 ounce ranch seasoning, (or 2 tablespoons homemade)
  • 4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
  • ½ cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 8 ounces refrigerated crescent rolls, (or crescent sheet)
  • 1 large egg, whisked (optional egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon water, whisked (optional egg wash)

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese and ranch seasoning until smooth. Stir in the shredded chicken, crumbled bacon, and shredded cheddar until evenly combined.
  • Unroll the crescent dough on a flat surface. If using triangles, pinch every two triangles together to form 4 rectangles, then cut each rectangle in half to make 8 squares. If using a crescent sheet, cut into 8 equal squares.
  • Place 1½ to 2 tablespoons of the chicken mixture in the center of each square. Pull the corners up and over the filling, pinching all seams firmly to seal.
  • Line your air fryer basket with parchment paper or lightly spray with cooking oil. Place the bites seam-side down with space between each.
  • Brush the tops lightly with egg wash, if using, for a golden finish.
  • Air fry at 330°F (165°C) for 8–10 minutes, until the bites are deeply golden brown and the dough is fully cooked. Check at 8 minutes — every air fryer runs slightly differently.
  • Let rest for 1–2 minutes (the filling is hot), then serve warm with ranch, honey mustard, or hot sauce for dipping.

Equipment

  • Cooking Spray
  • Parchment Paper, optional

Notes

  • Make ahead: Assemble up to 24 hours in advance, cover, and refrigerate. Add 1–2 extra minutes when air-frying from cold.
  • Freezing: Freeze assembled (uncooked) bites on a tray until solid, then transfer to a freezer bag for up to 2 months. Air-fry from frozen at 330°F for 12–14 minutes.
  • Storage: Refrigerate cooked leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • Reheating: Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 2–3 minutes to restore crispness.
  • Don't have crescent rolls? Substitute puff pastry squares or a sheet of pizza dough cut into squares.
  • Spice it up: Add ¼ teaspoon cayenne, diced jalapeño, or a splash of hot sauce to the filling.
