In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 pound chicken tenders and 1 cup buttermilk. Make Sure all pieces are submerged. Allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
In another bowl, combine 1.5 cups panko breadcrumbs, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1 teaspoon paprika, 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper.
Set the air fryer temperature to 400 degrees F, preheat for 3-5 minutes.
Remove each chicken tender from the buttermilk, letting the excess drip off. Dredge each piece through the breadcrumb mixture, pressing firmly to adhere. Lay breaded tenders on a tray.
Place chicken tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Lightly spray the tops with cooking spray.
Set cook time for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
Remove from air fryer and let them rest for a couple of minutes on a cooling rack. Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce.
