Description

A quick, family-favorite recipe for homemade churro donuts — light and tender inside, coated in that classic cinnamon-sugar crust, all made in the air fryer.

Ingredients

Donuts:

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

Topping:

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, sugar, melted butter, ground cinnamon, and milk until smooth.
  • Spray your donut molds with non-stick cooking spray and fill each about two-thirds full with batter.
  • Set the molds into the air fryer and cook at 320°F for 10–12 minutes, until golden and springy.
  • While the donuts cook, stir together the topping sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl, and melt the topping butter in a separate bowl.
  • Once the donuts are cool enough to handle, lightly brush each with melted butter and roll or sprinkle in the cinnamon sugar.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!
