A quick, family-favorite recipe for homemade churro donuts — light and tender inside, coated in that classic cinnamon-sugar crust, all made in the air fryer.
Ingredients
Donuts:
1/2cupgranulated sugar
1/4cupunsalted butter, melted
1tablespoonground cinnamon
1/2cupmilk
1tablespoonbaking powder
1cupall-purpose flour
Topping:
1/4cupunsalted butter, melted
1/2cupgranulated sugar
1teaspoonsground cinnamon
Instructions
In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, sugar, melted butter, ground cinnamon, and milk until smooth.
Spray your donut molds with non-stick cooking spray and fill each about two-thirds full with batter.
Set the molds into the air fryer and cook at 320°F for 10–12 minutes, until golden and springy.
While the donuts cook, stir together the topping sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl, and melt the topping butter in a separate bowl.
Once the donuts are cool enough to handle, lightly brush each with melted butter and roll or sprinkle in the cinnamon sugar.
