Description

Moist, warmly spiced Air Fryer Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread loaded with melty chocolate chips and baked entirely in the air fryer. Ready in about 40 minutes with no oven needed.

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup canned pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • cup vegetable oil, or melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Add-In

  • ¾ cup chocolate chips, plus 2 tablespoons for topping

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and pumpkin pie spice.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk the pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, oil, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently just until combined. Do not overmix.
  • Fold in ¾ cup chocolate chips, reserving the 2 tablespoons for topping.
  • Grease a loaf pan generously with nonstick spray. Pour in the batter, filling about two-thirds full, and sprinkle the reserved chocolate chips over the top.
  • Place the pan in the air fryer. Set the temperature to 320 degrees F (air fryer setting) and cook for 30 to 40 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
  • Let the loaf cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Equipment

  • Cooking Spray
  • Loaf pan that fits your air fryer (or mini loaf pans),

Notes

  • Pick the right pan. Use a loaf pan that fits your air fryer with room for air to circulate. If your air fryer leaves the center undercooked, use mini loaf pans and reduce the cook time to 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Every air fryer runs differently. Start checking a few minutes early and add time in short increments.
  • Don't overmix the batter, or the loaf will turn out dense.
  • To prevent sinking chips, toss them with 1 teaspoon of the measured flour before folding in.
  • Storage: Airtight at room temperature up to 3 days, refrigerated up to 1 week, or frozen up to 3 months.
