Description

Juicy boneless pork chops crisped in the air fryer and piled onto buns with sweet sautéed onions — a Chicago classic made easy.

Ingredients 

  • 6 boneless pork chops
  • 2 large onions, thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 6 hamburger buns, or brioche buns

Instructions

  • Season the pork chops on both sides with salt and pepper.
  • Place the chops in a single layer in the air fryer basket or on the Instant Pot Vortex tray.
  • Air fry at 400°F for about 8 minutes, flipping halfway, until they reach 145°F internally.
  • While the pork cooks, sauté the sliced onions in oil over medium heat until soft and golden, 8 to 10 minutes.
  • Rest the chops 3 to 5 minutes, then place on buns and top with onions. Serve immediately.
