- Begin by rolling out your pie crust with a rolling pin. Be careful to not roll it out too thin
- Using a 4” biscuit cutter, begin cutting out as many circles as you can from your pie crust.
- Place a ½ tbsp of filling in the center of the circle of dough. The filling should not reach the edges but stay in the center without too much piling up.
- Place another circle of dough over the circle of dough with the filling. Crimp the edges down to seal them. You can use your fingers or a fork. Carefully cut slits in the top of each pie.
- Continue this process until you have all your little pies made.
- In a small bowl, prepare your egg wash by cracking your egg and beating it well. Then, add the tablespoon of water and stir.
- Brush the egg wash over each pie.
- Place the pies a few at a time in the air fryer basket. As these cook, they may ‘ooze’ out a little of their filling, but if you seal the crust well and don't overfill then it won't be a big issue.
- Air fry for about 8 to 10 minutes at 350 degrees F. Pies will be golden brown and crispy looking.
- While the pies are cooling off, add the powdered sugar and water to a bowl. Stir well. Pour or dip pies into the glaze once they are completely cooled off.
