Description

Air Fryer Cherry Pastry is a fast, 2-ingredient dessert made with flaky crescent dough and sweet cherry pie filling. Ready in just 18 minutes, these golden, bakery-style pastries are the easiest air fryer dessert — perfect for last-minute cravings, brunch, or feeding a crowd.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces crescent dough sheets
  • 21 ounces cherry pie filling
  • 1/4 cup sparkling sugar, coarse/sanding sugar

Instructions

  • Lightly grease the cups of an air-fryer-safe muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Roll out the crescent dough and cut it into squares slightly larger than your muffin cups. Press each square gently into a cup.
  • Spoon about 1 tablespoon of cherry pie filling into the center of each dough square. Avoid overfilling.
  • Fold the corners of the dough up and over the filling to form a sealed pocket.
  • Sprinkle the tops generously with sparkling sugar.
  • Place the muffin tin in the air fryer basket or tray and air fry at 320°F for 6 to 8 minutes, until golden and cooked through.
  • Let the pastries rest for a few minutes — the filling is very hot. Carefully remove, plate, serve, and enjoy!

Equipment

  • Air Fryer (basket or air fryer oven),
  • Air-fryer-safe muffin tin or silicone muffin liners
  • Non-Stick Cooking Spray

Notes

  • Any air fryer works: basket models, air fryer ovens, Ninja Foodi, Instant Pot Crisp Lid, and Mealthy Lid all work. Adjust time by 1–2 minutes for your model.
  • Don't crowd the basket — leave space around each pastry for air to circulate, and cook in batches if needed.
  • Swap the filling: blueberry, blackberry, peach, apple, or lemon pie filling all work beautifully.
  • Storage: Airtight at room temp up to 2 days, refrigerated up to 5 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 320°F for 2–3 minutes to re-crisp.
  • Freezing: Freeze cooled pastries up to 2 months; reheat from frozen at 320°F for 4–5 minutes.
