Description

Warm, bubbling cherries under a golden oat-crumble topping — made entirely in the air fryer in about 20 minutes. Serve with vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients

Filling

  • 21 ounces cherry pie filling

Oat crumble topping

  • ¾ cup quick-cooking oats
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • tsp salt
  • ¼ cup cold butter, cubed

For serving (optional)

  • Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream

Instructions

  • Lightly grease an air-fryer-safe (oven-safe) baking dish. Spread the cherry pie filling evenly across the bottom.
  • In a medium bowl, stir together the oats, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt. Cut in the cold butter with a fork or your fingertips until the mixture is crumbly.
  • Sprinkle the oat crumble evenly over the cherry filling.
  • Place the dish in the air fryer and cook at 330°F for 7–10 minutes, until the topping is golden brown and the filling bubbles at the edges.
  • Let cool for about 5 minutes. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Equipment

Notes

  • Fresh/frozen cherries: Replace the pie filling with 4 cups pitted cherries tossed with ⅓–½ cup sugar, 2 tbsp cornstarch, 1 tsp lemon juice, and 1 tsp vanilla. Add a few extra minutes of cook time for frozen.
  • Gluten-free: Use GF oats and a 1:1 GF flour blend.
  • Other fillings: Blueberry, apple, raspberry, or peach all work.
  • Doneness: Air fryers vary — start checking at 7 minutes and tent with foil if the topping browns too fast.
