Description
Crispy, buttery air fryer cheesy garlic bread with melted mozzarella — five ingredients, 14 minutes, and no oven required.
Ingredients
1
loaf
French bread
,
or Italian bread
½
cup
butter
,
1 stick unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
2
teaspoons
garlic powder
,
or 4 cloves garlic, minced
¼
teaspoon
salt
1
teaspoon
dried parsley
2
cups
mozzarella cheese
,
shredded
Instructions
Slice the loaf in half lengthwise, then cut crosswise into pieces that fit your air fryer basket in a single layer with space around them.
In a small bowl, mash the softened butter, garlic powder, salt, and parsley with a fork until smooth and spreadable.
Spread the garlic butter over the cut surface of each piece, all the way to the edges.
Scatter the mozzarella evenly over the butter and press it down lightly with your hand.
Air fry at 350°F for 5–7 minutes, in a single layer, until the cheese is melted and beginning to brown at the edges. Work in batches if needed.
Rest 2 minutes, slice, and serve hot.
Equipment
Air Fryer
Notes
Tested in a 5.8-quart basket air fryer.
Larger oven-style units may run 1–2 minutes faster.
Use softened butter, not melted.
Melted butter soaks in and the cheese won't stick.
From frozen:
350°F for 8–10 minutes, no thawing.
Reheating:
350°F for 2–3 minutes with a little fresh cheese on top.
Fresh parsley
is best scattered on after cooking, not mixed into the butter.
