Description

Easy homemade cheddar cheese bagels made in the air fryer with just 5 ingredients. No yeast, no boiling — ready in 25 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt, thick, not watery
  • 1 cup self-rising flour, see notes for substitute
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons shredded sharp cheddar cheese, plus extra for topping
  • 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  • Mix the dough. In a medium bowl, combine Greek yogurt, self-rising flour, and salt. Stir until a shaggy dough forms, then knead briefly until smooth.
  • Add cheese. Fold the shredded cheddar cheese into the dough until evenly distributed.
  • Shape. Divide dough into 4 equal portions. Roll each into a ball, poke a hole through the center, and gently stretch into a bagel shape.
  • Egg wash. Brush the tops with beaten egg. Sprinkle with extra cheddar if desired.
  • Air fry. Place bagels in an air fryer basket lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each. Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 8–11 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.
  • Serve. Let cool for 2–3 minutes, then slice and enjoy warm.
