Description

Air fryer Bubba burgers cook from frozen in 15 minutes — juicy, crisp-edged, and ready to bun. This is the foolproof method, tested across multiple air fryer models, with exact times and temps for every Bubba burger variety.

Ingredients

  • 4 frozen Bubba burger patties, any variety
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil spray, optional
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon Montreal steak seasoning
  • 4 hamburger buns, brioche recommended
  • 4 slices American or cheddar cheese, optional
  • 4 leaves green leaf or butter lettuce
  • 4 slices tomato
  • ¼ cup sliced red onion, optional
  • Pickles, ketchup, mustard, and/or burger sauce to serve

Instructions

  • Prep the patties. Take Bubba burger patties straight from the freezer — do not thaw. If using seasoning, spritz each side lightly with olive oil spray and sprinkle on the black pepper, garlic powder, and Montreal steak seasoning.
  • Arrange in the air fryer basket in a single layer with at least half an inch of space between each patty. Do not stack.
  • Air fry at 370°F for 13–15 minutes, flipping halfway through. For thinner smashed Bubba burgers, reduce to 8–10 minutes.
  • Check internal temperature with a meat thermometer: 160°F for beef varieties, 165°F for turkey, chicken, or veggie.
  • Add cheese (optional) during the final minute of cooking, or turn off the air fryer and let residual heat melt the cheese for 30–60 seconds with the basket closed.
  • Toast the buns in the air fryer at 350°F for 60 seconds while the burgers rest.
  • Assemble with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and your favorite sauce. Serve immediately.

Equipment

  • Cooking Spray
  • Parchment Paper, optional

Notes

Notes

  • From frozen is best. Don't thaw — the patties hold their shape better straight from the freezer.
  • Use a thermometer. Cook times vary by air fryer wattage and basket size — internal temperature is what matters.
  • Reduce smoke by lining the basket with foil or a perforated parchment liner.
  • Storage: Refrigerate up to 3 days; freeze up to 2 months.
  • Reheat: Air fryer at 350°F for 3–4 minutes.
