Description

Crispy, golden panko-crusted salmon fillets made quick and easy in the air fryer — flaky inside, crunchy outside, ready in under 20 minutes.

Ingredients 

  • 4 salmon fillets, about 6 oz each
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley or dill, optional
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Olive oil or cooking spray

Instructions

  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
  • Set up three shallow bowls: flour in the first, beaten egg in the second, and panko mixed with parmesan, garlic powder, paprika, lemon zest, and herbs in the third.
  • Dredge each fillet in flour, dip in the egg, then press firmly into the crumb mixture to coat all over.
  • Preheat the air fryer and lightly spray the basket with cooking spray. Place the fillets in a single layer with space between them.
  • Lightly mist the tops with oil. Air fry at 390°F (200°C) for 8 to 10 minutes, until the crust is golden and the salmon flakes easily.
  • Check that the salmon has reached your preferred internal temperature, then let it rest a couple of minutes.
  • Serve with a squeeze of fresh lemon and enjoy.

Notes

For a medium texture, pull the salmon around 125–130°F; for fully cooked, aim for 145°F. Cook in batches if needed to avoid crowding the basket, which keeps the crust crisp.
