Description

Juicy air fryer blue cheese burgers with tangy crumbles mixed into the patty and more melted on top. Ready in about 12 minutes with no grill required.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef, 80/20
  • 5 ounces blue cheese crumbles, divided
  • teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 brioche buns
  • Lettuce leaves
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • ½ red onion, thinly sliced

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 380°F for 3 to 5 minutes.
  • In a medium bowl, gently combine the ground beef, 3 ounces of the blue cheese, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix only until just combined.
  • Divide into 4 patties, about ¾ inch thick and slightly wider than the buns. Press a dimple into the center of each.
  • Let the patties rest at room temperature for 10 minutes.
  • Arrange in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving space between them. Cook 6 minutes.
  • Flip once and cook 5 to 6 minutes more.
  • Scatter the remaining 2 ounces of blue cheese over the patties and cook 1 minute more.
  • Check for an internal temperature of 160°F. Rest the burgers 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Toast the buns in the air fryer for 1 minute if desired.
  • Assemble with lettuce, tomato, and red onion. Serve.

Equipment

  • Cooking Spray
  • Parchment Paper, optional

Notes

Air fryer wattage varies — use the thermometer rather than the clock. Ground beef must reach 160°F. Cooked burgers keep 3 days refrigerated; uncooked patties freeze up to 3 months.
