Description

This baked goat cheese dip is a warm, creamy appetizer made with goat cheese, cream cheese, parmesan, honey, pecans, lemon zest, and fresh thyme. It cooks in the air fryer in about 10 minutes and is perfect with toasted French bread for parties, game day, and holidays.

Ingredients

  • 10.5 ounces goat cheese, softened
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 3 tablespoons chopped pecans, divided
  • 1 tablespoon honey, plus more for drizzling
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, plus more for greasing
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, minced, plus more for garnish
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Toasted French bread slices drizzled with olive oil, for serving

Instructions

  • Mix the dip: In a bowl, combine the goat cheese, cream cheese, parmesan cheese, 2 tablespoons of the chopped pecans, honey, olive oil, thyme, lemon zest, and black pepper. Stir until smooth.
  • Prepare the dish: Grease a 1-quart baking dish with olive oil. Spread the goat cheese mixture evenly into the dish.
  • Add the topping: Sprinkle the remaining 1 tablespoon of chopped pecans over the top.
  • Air fry: Place the dish in the air fryer basket and cook at 300°F for 8 to 12 minutes, until warmed through and lightly golden at the edges.
  • Garnish and serve: Top with additional chopped thyme and a drizzle of honey, if desired. Serve warm with toasted French bread slices.

Equipment

  • 1-quart oven-safe baking dish (must fit in the air fryer basket)
  • Mixing Bowl

Notes

  • Let the goat cheese and cream cheese come to room temperature so the dip mixes smoothly.
  • Air fryers vary, so start checking at 8 minutes.
  • Oven method: Bake at 350°F for 15 to 20 minutes, until hot and bubbly.
  • Make ahead: Assemble without the pecan topping, cover, and refrigerate up to 24 hours. Add the pecans before cooking and add 2 to 3 minutes to the cook time.
  • Storage: Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 300°F for 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Variations: Swap in hot honey, walnuts, or fresh rosemary.
