Description

Air Fryer Apple Pie Bombs are sweet biscuit dough stuffed with apple pie filling, air fried until golden, and rolled in buttery cinnamon sugar. These cinnamon sugar stuffed apple donuts are the easiest fall dessert — ready in 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup apple pie filling, apples diced small
  • 1 can Grands biscuit dough
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • Nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon; set aside. Separate the biscuit dough into 15–16 layers.
  • Roll each piece into a 4-inch circle and spoon 1 tablespoon of apple pie filling into the center.
  • Pinch the dough closed around the filling and roll into a smooth ball, sealing the seams firmly so the filling stays inside.
  • Line the air fryer basket with parchment or spray with cooking spray. Add the bombs in a single layer and spray the tops.
  • Air fry at 350°F for 8–10 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Dip each warm bomb in melted butter, then roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until coated. Serve warm.

Equipment

Notes

  • Use store-bought apple pie filling; just dice the apples smaller for easier sealing.
  • For homemade filling: simmer 2 finely chopped apples with ¼ cup sugar, 1 tbsp flour, 2 tbsp apple pie spice, and 3 tbsp water until thick.
  • Pinching the seams well is the key to bombs that don't leak.
