Description

Air Fryer Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Cookies are soft, chewy, and full of warm cinnamon-spiced apple flavor. Quick and easy to make, they’re perfect for breakfast, snacks, or cozy dessert moments.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups quick oats
  • 1 ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon apple pie spice
  • 1 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups light brown sugar
  • ½ cup apple sauce, Unsweetened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 large apple, Chopped

Icing:

  • 1 cup confectioners sugar
  • 1 ½ tablespoons heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  • Melt the ¼ cup butter in a medium bowl and set it aside. In a separate large bowl, combine the 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 ½ cups quick oats 1 ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon, ½ teaspoon baking soda and ½ teaspoon Kosher salt. Whisk it together and set it aside.
  • In the butter bowl, stir in 1 teaspoon apple pie spice, 1 tablespoons vanilla extract and 1 1/4 cups light brown sugar until smooth. Then mix in the ½ cup apple sauce and 1 large egg until fully combined.
  • Pour the wet apple mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients and stir until fully combined. Gently fold in the chopped 1 large apple for added texture.
  • Set your air fryer to 315°F on the air fryer setting and preheat. Line the basket with parchment paper, then use a small ice cream scoop or spoon to portion the dough into 2-inch cookie balls.
  • Arrange each cookie dough ball on the parchment-lined basket, leaving 1½ inches of space between them to allow for spreading. Set cook time for 6–8 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack. Repeat until all cookies are baked.
  • To make the icing, mix 1 cup confectioners sugar and 1 ½ tablespoons heavy whipping cream in a small mixing bowl.

Equipment

Notes

Notes:
  • You can refrigerate the dough before baking for about twenty to thirty minutes if you’re worried about the cookies being too thin or feel like the dough is not staying chilled enough (For example, if you’re in an extra warm climate.)!
  • After cooking, these can be kept on the counter for up to 4 days or in the fridge for a week. These are so good, though; they generally don’t last more than a day or two! And, of course, you can freeze them for up to a month.
  • These are deliciously glazed or not. For a different variation, you could even drizzle a little caramel on top instead of the glaze!
