Description

Air Fryer Animal Style Fries are a delicious copycat of the In-N-Out classic, made right at home. Crispy air-fried fries are topped with melty American cheese, sweet caramelized onions, and tangy burger spread. It’s the ultimate comfort food side dish or snack, ready in minutes!

Ingredients 

  • 2 large Russet potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon butter, unsalted
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon French Fry Seasoning
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 1/2 cup Thousand Island Dressing

Instructions

  • Peel your potatoes. Cut them into long, fry-shaped lengths.
  • Soak your potatoes in the water for about 30 minutes, then dry them.
  • Spray the basket of your air fryer with cooking spray.
  • Place them in your Air Fryer for 15 minutes at 370 degrees F, air fryer setting.
  • Shake them halfway through at the 7-minute mark, then continue to cook.
  • While the fries are cooking, heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Melt butter in a skillet.
  • Add onions to the butter and sauté until they are golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  • When the fries are done cooking, season them with French Fry Seasoning
  • Arrange the seasoned fries on a serving plate. Layer the American cheese over the fries.
  • Add cooked onions on top of the cheese and drizzle dressing over the top.
  • Plate, serve, and enjoy!
