Description

These easy Air Fryer Hasselback Potatoes, also known as accordion potatoes, make a delicious and impressive side dish for any meal. The air fryer ensures they’re crispy on the outside and soft, creamy on the inside, plus it cooks them faster than the oven! Grab the recipe and give them a try!

Ingredients 

  • 4 large potatoes
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon  red paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon parsley, for serving

Instructions

  • Peel the potatoes, then slice off the tops and bottoms, followed by the sides, to create flat edges. Slice down the peeled potatoes lengthwise to create three even-thick pieces.
  • Place one thick piece of potato between wooden chopsticks or skewers and slice vertically. Flip the potato and slice diagonally. Repeat with all the potato slices.
  • Mix olive oil, salt, crushed black pepper, dried oregano, onion powder, garlic powder, red paprika, and dried rosemary in a small bowl.
  • Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes at 180 degrees C (350 degrees F). Line the basket with parchment paper and arrange the potatoes without overcrowding. Brush the oil mixture over the potatoes to evenly coat each slice. Cook for 10 minutes, then toss and cook for another 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. 
  • Transfer to a plate and garnish with fresh chopped parsley. Serve immediately and enjoy.

  • You can store the ACCORDION POTATOES in an air tight container for 4 days in refrigerator or around 3 months in freezer. 
  • You can add some grated parmesan cheese to the seasoning mix for an extra cheesy and crispy twist!
  • Experiment with different seasoning blends, such as cajun spice, taco seasoning, or even curry powder.
  • Don't be afraid to get creative with your toppings! Some delicious options include crumbled bacon, chopped chives, or even a dollop of sour cream.
  • Make sure to leave some space between the potato slices when arranging them in the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking and maximum crispiness.
  • Don't have wooden chopsticks or skewers? No problem! You can also use a pair of forks or even a clean pencil to create the accordion effect.
  • These potatoes make a great side dish for any meal, but they're also perfect for snacking! Serve them with your favorite dipping sauce for a fun and tasty appetizer.
  • Don't have an air fryer? You can also bake these potatoes in the oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for about 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
