Description

Soft, chewy, golden Air Fryer 2-Ingredient Bagel Bites made with just Greek yogurt and self-rising flour — no yeast, no boiling, no rise time. This viral TikTok recipe is high-protein, ready in 18 minutes, and endlessly customizable with Everything Bagel seasoning, cinnamon sugar, or cheese. Perfect for a quick breakfast, snack, or meal-prepped bagel bites the whole family will love.

Ingredients 

  • 1 cup self-rising flour, plus 1–2 Tbsp extra for dusting, or substitute 1 cup all-purpose flour + 1½ tsp baking powder + ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt, full-fat or 2% — do not use nonfat
  • 1 large egg, beaten with 1 tsp water (optional, for egg wash)
  • 2 Tbsp Everything But the Bagel seasoning, or topping of choice
  • 2 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted (optional, for brushing)

Instructions

  • Mix the dough. In a large bowl, stir together the self-rising flour and Greek yogurt until a shaggy dough forms. Knead in the bowl 8–10 times until smooth. If it sticks to your hands, add flour 1 Tbsp at a time.
  • Shape. Lightly flour your hands. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces and roll each into a smooth ball. Place on a parchment-lined plate.
  • Top. Brush each ball with egg wash or melted butter, then sprinkle generously with Everything Bagel seasoning (or your chosen topping).
  • Air fry. Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper. Arrange the bagel bites in a single layer with space between them. Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 7–8 minutes, flipping at the 4-minute mark, until deep golden brown.
  • Rest & serve. Transfer to a wire rack and rest 3–5 minutes — they finish setting as they cool. Serve warm with cream cheese, butter, or jam.

Notes

  • Yogurt matters. Plain full-fat or 2% Greek yogurt makes the best texture. Nonfat yogurt produces a gummy center.
  • No self-rising flour? Whisk 1 cup all-purpose flour + 1½ tsp baking powder + ¼ tsp salt.
  • Cottage cheese swap: Use 1 cup blended cottage cheese in place of yogurt for higher protein.
  • Gluten-free: Use a 1:1 gluten-free self-rising flour blend.
  • Chewier bagel bites: Drop the shaped balls into boiling water for 30 seconds per side before air frying.
  • Oven method: Bake at 375°F on parchment for 18–20 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • Storage: Airtight container at room temp 2 days, fridge 5 days, freezer 3 months.
  • Reheat: Air fryer at 325°F for 2–3 minutes for the crispiest result.
