Description

Air Fryer Longanisa Sausage -- If you have been looking for an easy way to cook Longanisa sausage, look no further than the air fryer!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Longanisa sausage, about 8 pieces
  • Optional: Soy sauce or preferred glaze for extra flavor

Instructions

  • If the longanisa sausages are frozen, make sure to thaw them completely before cooking.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 370°F (190°C).
  • Use a fork to poke a couple of small holes in each sausage. This will prevent them from bursting while cooking.
  • Arrange the sausages in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they don't touch or overlap. This ensures even air circulation.
  • Cook the sausages for about 15 minutes, turning them halfway through for even cooking.
  • Optional: For extra flavor, brush with some soy sauce or your preferred glaze about 5 minutes before they finish cooking.
  • Ensure the sausage's internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Use a meat thermometer to check if necessary.
  • Once done, remove from the air fryer and let them rest for 2 minutes.
  • Serve hot with your preferred side dish and enjoy!

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Cooking Spray
  • Parchment Paper, optional

Notes

  • Adjust the cooking time if your longanisa sausages are thicker or thinner.
  • The sausages can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (180°C) for about 4 minutes or until heated through.
  • For a crispier finish, spritz with a bit of oil before cooking.
