Description

Air Fryer Lemon Dill Salmon is a perfectly roasted salmon fillet with an amazing lemon, garlic, and dill butter sauce. It makes for a great dinner, perfectly cooked up in less than 10 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 2-4 ounces salmon filets , with skin on–center cut if possible.
  • 3 tablespoons butter, softened, or olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon granulated garlic powder, or minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 4 slices lemon, optional

Instructions

  • Preparation: Begin by patting the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. This helps the seasonings stick better and ensures a crispy texture when cooked.
  • Season the Salmon: In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Brush this mixture over both sides of the salmon fillets. Then, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the fillets and sprinkle them with chopped fresh dill. If desired, place a few thin lemon slices on top for added flavor and visual appeal.
  • Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and let it preheat for a few minutes. This step is important for cooking the salmon evenly.
  • Cook the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in the air fryer basket, skin-side down. Be careful not to overcrowd the basket. Air fry the salmon for about 7-10 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The exact cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the fillets and the specific air fryer model.
  • Check for Doneness: The salmon is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) at its thickest part. The flesh should be opaque and flake easily with a fork.
  • Serve: Remove the salmon from the air fryer and let it rest for a couple of minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring a moist and flavorful piece of fish.
  • Garnish and Enjoy: Garnish with additional fresh dill and lemon slices or wedges if desired. Serve hot.

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Cooking Spray
  • Parchment Paper, optional

Notes

Salmon can be stored for up to two days in the refrigerator and can either be reheated in the
microwave, air fryer or served cold the next day.
